Description:
An inexpensive utility hardwood. Strong and durable, it machines and turns well, takes glues/stains well and is often used to give a Mahogany or Oak effect. The grain can be irregular, from interlocked to course and straight. Can also be brittle. Not suitable for use in damp conditions.
