Product Details
Iroko, known scientifically as Chlorophora excelsa, originates from West Africa. It is a strong and very durable timber, golden yellow to brown in colour, and attractive in appearance.
Iroko is one of the most popular and versatile timbers, often used as a substitute for Teak when cost is a factor. It is suitable for a wide range of applications.
Iroko works fairly well with most tools, though it may have a dulling effect on cutting edges. An excellent finish can be obtained if the grain is filled.
This timber is very durable, making it suitable for a variety of uses.
